A clear, honest privacy note.
What we show, where it comes from, and how to change or remove it — written plainly, the way we wish every privacy page was.
What this page covers
Qestr is the global network for extraordinary pursuits, a Runbuk initiative. This note explains, in plain language, what data we show, where it comes from, and how you can change or remove it. It is written for a real, early-stage product — not as legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will fix it.
What data we show
Qestr publishes two kinds of records, and we label which is which everywhere they appear:
- Public records. Athlete names, countries, results, and achievements compiled from public reporting, race results, and published sources — the kind of information already available to anyone who searches. These carry a Public record tag.
- Sample data. A small number of illustrative example profiles and insights that demonstrate features. These are clearly marked Sample everywhere they appear and can be removed on request.
The point of the labelling is simple: nothing real is ever misrepresented, and nothing illustrative is ever mistaken for fact.
What we do not publish
We do not publish sensitive personal data. That means no home addresses, no contact details, no dates of birth, no government identifiers, no health or medical information, and nothing about anyone's private life. Qestr is a record of public athletic accomplishment — not a personal dossier.
Cookies and sessions
Browsing Qestr does not require an account, and we do not run advertising trackers. We use cookies for one purpose: to keep you signed in. When you sign in to claim or manage a profile, a session cookie remembers that you are authenticated so you do not have to log in on every page. It is removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
AI processing of submitted content
Qestr uses AI to remove friction — to help structure, translate, summarise, and connect content into the knowledge graph. When you submit information (for example, when claiming a profile or drafting an insight), that content may be processed by AI to format it, link it to related records, and check it for consistency.
You remain the author. AI clears the path; it does not invent your story. Submitted content is processed to power the features you are using, and is not sold.
Requesting changes or removal
If you are featured on Qestr, you are always in control of your record. You can ask us to correct it, claim and manage it yourself, or remove it entirely. Sample data is replaced with verified data on request, and removals are honoured.
Our dedicated page walks you through it and gives you a one-click way to reach us.
