Maria is no stranger to extremes, finding her stride where endurance meets adventure. From crossing the frozen finish line of the Antarctic Ice Marathon to running Norway’s Aurora Marathon beneath the northern lights, she has embraced races that demand both grit and resolve. In July 2025, she added another milestone by completing the North Pole Marathon, where ice, isolation, and raw conditions tested her at the top of the world. She now takes on the World Marathon Challenge, seven marathons, seven continents, seven days. For Maria, it’s not just about distance or pace, but about resilience, mindset, and adapting to some of the most demanding environments on the planet. Along the way, she runs with her greatest support - her husband - whose strength and encouragement make every finish line even more meaningful.
