Joan Pere Carbonell Alberti

Joan Pere Carbonell Alberti is 54 years old and lives on the island of Mallorca, Spain, “a small and wonderful island east of the Iberian Peninsula.” In 2022, he participated in the Antarctic Ice Marathon with the goal of joining the 7 Continents Marathon Club. He has completed the 7 World Marathon Majors, the Ironman in Klagenfurt, Austria, and iconic marathons including the Great Wall in China, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and the Big Five Marathon in South Africa, among others. He works in the real estate business and is the proud father of a son and two daughters. His wife and children accompany him on all his adventures, and even participate in some of them. Joan is taking part in this 777 challenge to raise funds for research into a rare skin disease called ichthyosis, which affects very few people and currently lacks sufficient resources for research (www.ictiosis.org/dona).
