Ginny Turner

Ginny is a 66 year old grandmother of six who loves destination races. No stranger to travel, she has completed marathons all over the world, in all 50 States in the USA plus DC TWICE, all the provinces and territories of Canada, plus The Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race, Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Comrades Marathon, and The North Pole Marathon. After 208 marathons/128 half-marathons, she effectively wore out her knees and in early 2017 had double knee replacements. As a testimonial for how thankful she is to be able to continue to enjoy the sport she loves, Ginny is raising funds for Operation Walk-Freedom to Move, whose medical teams provide orthopedic surgeries to those needing life-improving procedures, ensuring that they have the ability to work, move, and engage in life. She looks forward to completing the half-marathon distance on each of the 7 continents with the World Marathon Challenge 2019.
